My magazine will be unique because it will be slightly different than the rest of the magazines hat are of a similar genre to mine. I would be similar however in certain aspects of the magazine. These are things such as the layout, the prices would be around a similar range, the magazine name will be big and the main heading will be big, it would feature sub-headings and then a list of the other things that are featured. However my magazine would be different because it would have a slightly different layout to the other magazines, I would have my own unique colour scheme, it would feature a slight mix of genres instead of focusing on one genre meaning that the amount of sales could be raised, also the price could be slightly lower than the competition but sold on a more frequent basis than the others.
Also my magazine may be different from the rest of them because my magazine will be more focused on the up and coming bands rather than the established ones. But because they have a lot of fans the big bands will be featured because it then makes the range of customers bigger. This makes it unique from the other magazines in the genre such as NME and Kerrang and maybe giving it an edge over them. 
I think you get there in the end - identifying that your focus will be on up and coming bands rather than on established acts. I think you also need to add that the genre of music will also add to your USP but the focus on new bands makes it different to kerrang, NME etc....Again, add something visual to break up the text.
